Is heather a gay song

Conan Gray is jealous of “Heather”, the girl whom the boy he is romantically interested in actually wants to get with.

Disclaimer: I know that heather might be about being in love with a girl who then falls in love with another girl, but in both Interpretation it's gay. I personaly interpret it as a song about being in love with a straight boy, like most people.
